Positives: 1. Location - next to the Jhalong river. The incessant sound of the water flowing is a bliss. 2. Food at the canteen - super fresh and hot! 3. Size of the rooms. 3. Friendly staff. 4. Room AC quality. 5. Shaded car park. Could be improved: 1. Quality of the bed linens. Ended up having torn bed sheets, bathroom towels with weird spots, etc. 2. Bathroom water was super dirty. The river water was way cleaner. 3. Repeated TV recharge issues. 4. All services are very 'reactive' in nature.

Superlative experience. Waking up to the sound of a stream rushing by nestled amidst lush greenery is a serene feeling. Good food as per choice is available. Helpful and cheerful staff

The cottages are being renovated. We were the first one to stay in the renovated cottage only one of which was ready. The others will be ready soon. The location is superb. The cottages are located on the riverside. There is ample parking space. Being government property, the location is prime and cannot be matched by private operators. The food service is priced very reasonably. The caretaker is very friendly and always serves with a smile. No complaints at all. The only caveat is food has to be decided and ordered well in advance since the caretaker then has to procure the necessary ingredients to prepare the food.

Excellent location, excellent place. Situated right on the river banks. And in my opinion this is the best place to stay in Jholung. If you stay in here you get a 'personal river' along with natural swimming pool. Food options are not much though, considering the remote location from market, seems fair.

It is a hidden gem of a property on the bank of river Jhalong under the management of WBFDC. The property is located on a huge expanse situated right on the river bank. Guests can just sit on their balcony & listen to the sweet sound of river flowing & birds chirping. Each cottage is located at a fair distance from each other, giving each it's own privacy. The rooms are well built & nicely furnished with geyser & AC. Also management has started to renovate all rooms in a phased manner. The linens provided were clean & toiletries were of standard make & adequate. The property has a canteen/restaurant which offers standard food but wholesome & tasty food, but options are limited & orders have to be placed early. The only concern is that as a town person, most of us may feel a little worried at the lack of security around the property. In the night time only a security guard is supposed to be available though we couldn't locate him. But as the locals will say & also as experienced (touchwood) - we had nothing to worry. People who like to enjoy amazing views, witness great natural beauty, sit on the balcony and enjoy the sound of the flowing river along with chirping birds should only consider this property.

The camp is the perfect mix of experience living near, river, jungle and mountain all at one spot. The people were cordial. Food was good. Best place to relax with the music of jhalong river in the serene jungle surrounded by mountains.

This resort is under West Bengal Forest Department. The location is awsome. Word is not enough to explain the beauty of the resort. You can spend time by sitting beside the river side touching foot in the river water.

This is a river side resort. Wonderful place in the lap of river . You can enjoy bathing in Cold and crystal clear water. It gives the feeling of personal beach. Wonderful night view. At the night,Sound of water creat magic .Rooms are clean and hygenic and big. No complementary breakfast available. Foods are good like home made. Mobile Network connection is poor.This is a very good place for spending quality times with family. Strongly recommend to visit this place atleast once( preferably in rainy season). You can book this property only online.
